Replaced
Agency-managed WordPress

Providence was paying a monthly retainer for a WordPress site that was slow, hard to edit, and looked like every other church template. We rebuilt it as a static site: a full-bleed editorial masthead, real photos of the congregation instead of stock, and a type system built around a single display serif.

The migration mattered as much as the design. We captured the old site's URL structure, titles, and descriptions, then rebuilt each page at its original address with redirects for the ones that retired — so years of accumulated search equity carried over intact.

Send Josh

Scope
Multi-page site
Focus
Conversion to recurring support
Desktop screenshot of Send Josh

Support-raising sites usually bury the ask under a wall of newsletter archives. This one opens with the thesis — the greatest need of the global church is trained pastors — and moves straight to Pray, Give, Send.

The palette is drawn from the sending organization, and the layout keeps the donate action visible at every scroll depth without resorting to a nagging popup.

Sermon Steward

Scope
Marketing site for a SaaS product
Approach
Price-forward, demo-second
Desktop screenshot of Sermon Steward

Software marketing sites in the church space tend to obscure pricing and push everything toward a sales call. This one names the number in the first screenful and follows it with a live link into a real customer's library, so a pastor can evaluate the product before ever talking to anyone.

Three feature columns carry the whole value proposition. No carousel, no testimonial slider, no gradient mesh.

Uncle Theology

Scope
Catalogue site with per-album theming
Design
Dark shell, album-driven accents

The catalogue spans street-gospel hip-hop, roots reggae, and more. A single house style would have made all of it feel like the same record, so instead the site runs a dark neutral shell and lets each album's artwork and accent color take over its own card and detail page.

It is the clearest demonstration of the studio's actual thesis: the design should amplify the voice that is already there, not overwrite it.

Design
Dark ground, gold accent, centered display serif

The premise is that every great preacher left behind a method, not just a body of sermons. The Guild Hall surfaces that method: rhetorical patterns, theological emphases, and the structural DNA behind a voice people remember.

The design had to carry weight without turning solemn. A near-black ground with a single gold accent, a centered display serif, and a hero that holds one idea and one action — browse the hall, or look at a real build. Everything analytical sits below that line, so the argument lands before the machinery shows.

Focus
Long-form readability
Desktop screenshot of Pastor Chris Does Politics

The whole site is a reading experience. A campaign-button mark supplies the personality; everything below it gets out of the way — generous line length, a single serif for the essays, and a numbered series index that shows a reader where any given piece sits in the larger argument.

Reading layout with Pastor Politics
Desktop screenshot of Mission for Marriage

Built on the same editorial foundation as the political essays, retuned for a warmer subject. It shows how far a single well-built reading layout can travel when the type and palette are allowed to change voice.
